Start with the failure mode. If it's a worn screen, a single replacement may be enough. If the issue is in the motor mount, the spring system, or the separator body, you're not just replacing a part—you're repairing an assembly. Treat it accordingly.

This is also the point at which I'd involve an engineering consultant. And if someone is hawking a too-good-to-be-true deal while you're still at breakfast? Run the total-cost math before you chase the quote. The time you spend on that calculation is never wasted.
